As an improviser, pianist, singer, and composer — rooted in jazz, shaped by his Brazilian heritage — Noah Reis Ramma's music moves between lyrical melody and impressionistic timbres, folkloric influences and avant-garde elements: playful and introspective at once, always in the tension between tradition and innovation.

After ten years of classical piano training, he followed his passion for improvisation and studied jazz piano (B.A. & M.A.) at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.

His current band presents original compositions for a modern jazz quartet — contemporary jazz blends with electronic and urban elements, elegiac lyricism drawn from classical music, and his voice as an ethereal additional instrument.

Alongside his work as a bandleader, Noah is a sought-after sideman and has collaborated with artists and ensembles including the WDR Big Band, the Bergische Symphoniker, the Festival:Philharmonie Westfalen, Tom Gäbel, Percival Duke, Mara Minjoli, Florentina Holzinger, and many others.

Beyond jazz, Noah also composes, arranges, and produces for film and theater. His work has been performed at venues including the Volksbühne Berlin, the Volkstheater Wien, the Philharmonie Essen, the Lichtburg Essen, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein.
